note to the “techie’s”

so, i’ll be traveling out of town in about 2 weeks; the place i’ll be going will not have internet. it wouldn’t be an issue usually, however i’ll have homework due while i am away.

i’m wondering if there are any places that you can rent a wifi hotspot “thing”? i’m hoping for a relatively cheap price, or if any of you are super kind could lend one to me? i’d totally send it back to you, i swear. {i realize i’m insane for thinking any of you would send one to me, but it’s worth an ask.}

help?

  1. amywinner answered: if you have a smartphone you can usually tether that to your laptop as a wifi hotspot. ask your phone provider (like verizon, sprint, etc)
  2. anchoredtocoffee answered: boingo has relatively cheap prices. I think they base it on how many hours you want to be online
  3. lauramichelletwelve answered: Gah I am so mad! I had a mi-fi from ATT that I was borrowing from a friend, but I no longer have in my possession or else I would send it :)
