I have come to the realization …

that I am absolutely terrible at paying attention when I am texting. I mis-text people all the time.

Friends, thank you for bearing with me —

we3areresplendent-deactivated20 asked: Many people believe the second commandment forbids all images of God. What it really forbids is the making of ALL images. However we know that there must be a caveat, because later on in the Pentateuch, God tells the men creating the temple to use images in the construction of the temple (cherubim, etc.), so we know God couldn't have meant that He was forbidding ALL images. Rather, He was forbidding the use of images in WORSHIP. Therefore, pictures of God outside of worship are OK.

thank you for this!

Anonymous asked: The Bible references several times not to make symbols to represent heaven or God. That includes the cross.

So, you cannot draw, make, build anything of the sorts?
What are the verses, exactly?

Anonymous asked: Are you a photographer? Did you take all the lovely photos on your blog?

I’m not a photographer — I wish I had the talent that these lovely pictures portray.

The photos should all be linked to their sources — if not, then let me know and I can find who did them. (Or find out to the best of my ability).

Anonymous asked: I'm thinking on getting a tattoo of a inverted cross or the cross of St. Peter what is your opinion?

Completely your decision — tattoos, in my opinion, should be personal and what they mean to you. They are beautiful pieces of art and the thought process and decision should not be done with haste.

If you limit your choices only to what seems possible or reasonable, you disconnect yourself from what you truly want, and all that is left is compromise.
