Ever struggle with keeping up with your daily readings/devotions?
I sure as anything do! I was recommended this online reading plan, Prayer, through this website. (it’s linked under “prayer”)
I just subscribed not even 10 minutes ago and I had the simple instructions on how to sign up. Today’s reading was short, Matthew 6:5-13, and the website encourages you to pray, journal, and share your time with the Lord.
Not only does this plan seem to be awesome, but the website is too! It’s fun and with a funky/cool design that helps me feel encouraged to keep up with it.
Take a look, go purchase that Moleskin journal you’ve been keeping your eye on, and read!
I expected to sleep in more than I really did, this morning. I awoke at 8:00am and managed to feel pretty good this morning, meaning I wasn’t too groggy.
I made a Brew HaHa! run and got the usual coffee and bagel. I came home and did the DD (daily devotional). I just started Streams in the Desert, which I am really enjoying.
I’ve also committed to reading the entire Bible with my youngest brother, Ryan. We’re 3 days in, on a reading plan that starts Genesis and will end in Revelation, and is a full year plan. This will also help me complete one thing on my 20’s project.

I’ve also managed to get some much needed laundry done!

Sheets are in the dryer and ready to be put on the bed.
I’ve got the house to myself, today. It’s nice to have peace and quiet, something that I find helps me keep going. You ever have those days where you just need to be alone? Not in a sad and depressing way, but in a way that can help you recharge. It’s one of those days.
I have work this afternoon, and then I’ll head back to the hospital to visit for a while.
And I’ll leave you with this video, one that’s encouraging today!

AAAAAAAAAmmmeeennnn!!!
(via lebellecoeur)
a day of being on the go.
i had a haircut appointment (no worries no more than an inch off, to chop off split ends), had to take brother to dentist (parents are out of town), ran to hospital for an hour, picked up sister at work, ran to mall, dropped brother off at friends house, then my sister & i went to an outdoor play (at Longwood Gardens) with our grandparents.
home at 11:45pm and i’m rushing into pajamas, washing face, letting out dog and laying in bed listening to some relaxing music.
(some of my favorites)

sleep will come soon.
i hope you all had a wonderful day! -meg
Lord, You hear our prayers. Comfort us, relieve our anxieties in this waiting. Let us lean on You for strength, because God, You know we cannot fight this fight without You. We’re clinging to You and only You during this time. We love You and help us respect Your will, whatever it may be.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
